Dr. Rhonda McDuffie, Counselor for Students with Last Names A-K
Dr. McDuffie began her career in education in 1993 as a social science teacher at Crisp Co Middle School where she remained for 8 years. She then taught history and economics at Wilcox County High School for 6 years. While there, she was the head coach for varsity competition cheerleading and for the middle school golf team. She has been in Houston County since 2007.
Dr. McDuffie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Science Education from Georgia Southwestern University, a Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama, a Specialist’s degree in Educational Leadership from Albany State University, and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. She loves the challenges and rewards of helping the youth develop into mature, productive, and responsible members of our community.
Mrs. Melissa Bourke, Counselor for Students with Last Names L-Z
Melissa Bourke graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and obtained a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities from Auburn University at Montgomery. An educator for 15 years, Mrs. Bourke served ten of those at Bonaire Middle School. For eight years, she served as one of the county’s Autism teachers at the middle-school level. Mrs. Bourke earned a Specialist Degree in School Counseling from Argosy University then returned to Bonaire Middle as a counselor. She is excited to be “home” again. Mrs. Bourke is married and has three children who attend school in Houston County. She looks forward to helping BMS students achieve success, academically and socially, on their journey in becoming productive and positive members of society.
