The Houston County Board of Education appointed Alyson Keenom as principal of Bonaire Middle School during the Board meeting held March 12, 2019. Keenom has served as the Houston County High School assistant principal for instruction since 2013.
“I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to serve the Bonaire Middle School students, parents, staff and community,” said Keenom. “I look forward to continuing the work of a tradition of excellence in academics and character so every child can succeed.”
She has been with the Houston County School System for 15 years, beginning her teaching career in 2004 at Houston County High as a math teacher. Currently she is working on a doctorate at Columbus State University. Keenom earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Valdosta State University. In addition, she has a master’s and specialist degree in educational leadership from Georgia College and State University.
Assistant Principal for Instruction
Dr. Marlon Robinson has been in education for more than 20 years. He started his teaching career with the Houston County School System upon completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education. He has an Associate's Degree in Secondary Education from Middle Georgia College, a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education from Fort Valley State University, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University. He was honored as "PHS Teacher of the Year" in the school year 2004-2005. For 6 years, Mr. Robinson coached PHS Girls’ Softball, PHS Girls’ Basketball, PHS Boys’ Basketball, and PHS Baseball. He is married to Marien Robinson and is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. He currently resides as the church administrator of Greater Word of Deliverance Ministries, Incorporated in Perry, GA. After teaching high school mathematics for 11 years, he was selected as assistant principal of Bonaire Middle School in 2009 where he currently works.
Assistant Principal for Discipline
Mrs. Lisa Hill came to education after a 15 year career in business & industry and
has been with the Houston County Board of Education for 21 years beginning her
educational career at Rumble Middle School. In 2001, Mrs. Hill joined the Jaguar family and was named “BMS Teacher of the Year” for the 2007-2008 school year. She has a B.S. in Communications and Marketing from the University of West Georgia, a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Georgia College and State University, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. Mrs. Hill is married and has three daughters. She enjoys kayaking, sailing, scuba diving, and reading.
