Administrative Team

Mrs. Rebecca Oakley - Principal
Mrs. Rebecca Oakley was named the principal of Bonaire Middle School during the Houston County Board of Education meeting held March 12, 2024. Prior to Bonaire, she served as the principal of Centerville Elementary School.
Prior to joining Centerville Elementary School, Oakley served as the Assistant Principal for Instruction at Northside Elementary School. She also served as a teacher at Feagin Mill Middle School, Warner Robins Middle School, and Mossy Creek Middle School. In 2011, she was named the Warner Robins Middle School Teacher of the Year and the Houston County Teacher of the Year. She was also named as the 2015 STEM Teacher of the Year by the Air Force Association.
Oakley is a proud product of the Houston County School District, where she attended Miller Elementary, Bert Rumble Middle School, and Warner Robins High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education from Mercer University. She also earned her master's and specialist degrees in middle grades education and educational leadership from Valdosta State University. She and her husband, Russell, have two children.

Mrs. Heather Schmanski- Assistant Principal of Instruction
Mrs. Schmanski graduated from Valdosta State University in 2002 with a BA in History. In 2021, she graduated from Piedmont University with a Master of Arts degree in middle grades education. She began her teaching career in 2005 at Feagin Mill Middle School but transferred to Mossy Creek Middle when the school opened in 2007 where she taught for her favorite subject, social studies, for 17 years. She joined the Bonaire Middle administration team in 2025 as the Assistant Principal for Instruction.

Mr. Andre Davis - Assistant Principal of Discipline
Mr. Davis is a product of the Houston County School System. Mr. Davis graduated from Warner Robins High School in 2009 and attended Valdosta State University and obtained a Bachelors of Middle Grades Education in 2013. He received his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern 2024 and is currently pursuing his Educational Specialist degree from Piedmont University.
Prior to joining the administration team at Bonaire Middle in 2025, Mr. Davis taught 6th grade science for six years and 8th grade science for five years. Mr. Davis served several roles at Bonaire Middle including coaching the 7th Grade Boys Basketball team, the Science Department Chair, and the FIERCE PBIS team.
