Student Council

Student Council promotes school-wide leadership among its members. 

Hosting events within BMS
Organizing and implementing charity drives, for example the canned food drive
Promoting involvement of all students at BMS

Student Council is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.  Potential candidates must complete an application which includes signatures from a parent along with an essay stating why the student wants to be part of Student Council and what they see as their contribution.  Students are not nominated by others - each student requests his/her own application.  Candidates are then elected to the position in a school-wide election.
