
Bio
Mrs. Cheralyn Keily has been teaching Agricultural Education and serving as a FFA advisor in Houston County for 24 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, and a master's degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Keily initiated her career at Houston County High School in 2000 and transferred to Bonaire Middle School in 2007. She was honored as the Houston County High School Teacher of the Year in 2005, Bonaire Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2014 and 2022, top 5 finalist for Houston County Teacher of the Year in 2022. She was also named a Middle School General Educator of the Year by the Council for Exceptional Children in 2017 and awarded the Honorary State FFA Degree in 2024. She has served as a presenter at the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association Conference, The Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education Conference, and the Southern Regional Education Board Annual High Schools that Work Conference. In 2018, 2021, and 2022, under her leadership, the Bonaire Middle School FFA chapter was named a Middle School Model of Excellence national finalist, and in 2022 the Bonaire Middle School FFA chapter was named the National Middle School Model of Excellence, the highest honor the National FFA can bestow on a Middle School FFA Chapter.
