Timothy Kerns is a 6th grade math teacher at Bonaire Middle School. Timothy began his career in 2005 and has been teaching math ever since. He enjoys helping learners push themselves outside of their comfort zone, and invites them to change their mindset about math. In addition to being a teacher, Timothy loves to coach soccer and basketball, and serves on the Leadership Team at BMS. 

Schools and Degrees: 

· Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Middles Grades Math and Social Studies 

· Master’s Degree from Valdosta State University in Middles Grade Math and Science 

Notable Achievements: 

· Graduated with from Georgia Southwestern State University and Valdosta State University with honors. 

· Teacher of the Year at Bonaire Middle School 2013-2014 

· Won championships in girls and boys soccer and girls basketball 

Timothy plans on teaching and coaching for many years to come. He currently lives in Kathleen Georgia with his wife and two children. In the future, Timothy plans on getting his Specialist Degree and venturing into the political arena of education.
